Meet Bailie Johnson

Bailie was born and raised in small, 3-stop-light town in Wyoming near Yellowstone National Park. She grew up as a pig farmer, who loved creating new things. She’s an introvert who can trick you with her social butterfly behaviors. Bailie always told her parents she would move to the big city, and in 2010 she drove across the country to begin that adventure! She met her husband, Drew, in Georgia and decided this was the place to stay. She completed her Masters in Business Administration from Auburn University - but like most millennials she wasn’t sure what to do next. She joined a church staff working in creative production and administration - and quickly learned her heart was advocating for others, but especially kids. As a teenager Bailie struggled with anxiety and understanding where she belonged, which is why she loved the mission of Path United. In 2016, she met with Jim & Melinda and expressed she knew she didn’t have teacher background but she wanted to use her skills to support what was happening at Path! That day she was sure the only thing she had to offer was supportive administrative skills - but she was offering it whole-heartedly. The joke’s on her because Bailie’s job has evolved as a result of the Path team helping her grow and cultivate her creative skills and love of telling stories and advocating for others.

Bailie and Drew are parents to Reece, and are foster parents who’ve cared for over 11 kiddos! On a Saturday you’ll find Bailie cheering for Auburn Tigers football, crocheting, taking pictures, or trying to build something with her circular saw. She loves iced coffee, cinnamon rolls, but absolutely hates green peas, mustard & onions!
